Lieupo Carl Crawford

Mr. Lieupo "Carl" Crawford, age 64, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 following a brief illness. Mr. Crawford was born on July 30, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, to his parents, the late Lieupo & Merle Gallimore Crawford. Mr. Crawford was a veteran, proudly serving with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Caledonia Lodge #121 F&AM, Cedartown Adoniram #41, Royal Arts Masons & served on the Grand Council, E. Sublime Masons, was a member of the Cedar Valley Shrine Club & was a past president for 2000. He was a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple, Atlanta, GA and was a longtime member of the Harmony Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Mrs. Judy A. Crawford; his sons, Carl Jay Crawford & Harry Gene Crawford; his daughters, Rebecca Crawford, Thersea A. Crawford & Leslie N. Crawford; his brother, Kenneth R. Crawford; his sister, Elaine Johnson; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Lieupo "Carl" Crawford will be conducted on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Glaze & the Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Antioch Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Brown-Wright Post #12 Honor Guard. Masonic Rites will be administered at graveside by the N.W. Georgia Masonic Memorial Group. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home. The following are asked to serve as Pallbearers: Brad Barber, Jessie Preston, Jonathan Crawford, Shelton Dawson, Cody Preston, Skylar Dawson, Wess Lefurgey, Jeff Lefurgey & Eddie Preston. Jason "Sparky" Strickland


Mr. Jason "Sparky" Strickland, age 37, of Tallapoosa, GA & formerly of Cedartown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 25, 2012.

Jason Strickland was born on May 13, 1974 in Polk County, GA to his parents, Mr. Sammy Strickland and Mrs. Doris Wood Strickland. Jason was a graduate of Cedartown High School and was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician with Grady EMS, Station 5 in Atlanta, Ga., and was a member of the Georgia National Guard. He was a certified firefighter & had served with the Polk Co. Volunteer Fire Dept. in the past. He was a member of the American Legion, a member of the 40&8 Club, he was a Red Knight, a member of HOG, a Patriot Rider and a Legion Rider, and was of the Baptist faith.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Candy Strickland, his father and mother, Sammy and Doris Wood Strickland, his children, Casey Strickland, Kristin Strickland, Garrett Strickland, Tyler Strickland, Kayley Pike, Kalob Pike and Kelsey Weldon, his brothers, Randy Strickland, Michael Strickland & Dustin Strobel and sister, Lucinda Strickland. A number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jason "Sparky" Strickland will be conducted on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev.Randy Vines, Rev. Greg Locklear and Rev. John Lemmings conducting committal services at Lee's Chapel Cemetery. The Redmond Regional Medical Center's E.M.S. Honor Guard will be conducting E.M.S. rites and the Brown-Wright Post 12 Honor Guard will be conducting military honors at graveside. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, March 28, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will consist of the E.M.S. Staff of Grady's Station # 5. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jordan Peirson, George Oxenrider, "Tiny", Nick Runyon, Jerry Oliver, Robin Thompson, Brian Tumlin, Jesse Morris, Danny Strickland, "Stumpy", Casey Strickland & Richard Crawford. Ronald Anthony Shelton


Mr. Ronald Anthony Shelton, age 44, 1268 Buttermilk Road, Cave Spring, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Shelton was born in Dalton, Georgia on October 17, 1967, son of Clarence Ronald Shelton and Virginia Carroll Shelton. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald & Virginia Shelton, Cave Spring; 3 brothers, Tim Shelton, and his wife, Alicia, Cave Spring, Terry Shelton, Cave Spring, and Tracy Shelton, and his wife, Pam, Cedartown; 5 nieces and nephews, Blake, Emma, Carter, Cade & Sydnee Shelton; 2 grandmothers, Mrs. Jean Muse, Cave Spring, and Mrs. Pearl Carroll, Rome; aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 3pm at the Bush Arbor Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Byars officiating. Interment will follow in the Bush Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 until 8pm. At other hours they may be contacted at the residence.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the Bush Arbor Baptist Church on Sunday at 2:30pm and include: Danny Beck, Lewis Beck, Ronnie Beck, Matthew Orbaugh, Mac Abbot, and Brian Woodard.
